Yes. If you hold multiple Texas Barbering and Cosmetology licenses, the CE you complete for one license satisfies the CE requirements for your other license or licenses. You do not need to repeat the same course for each license.
Texas determines your continuing education requirements based on the licenses you hold and how long you've held them.
Many Barbering and Cosmetology licenses share the same state required topics. Because of this overlap, one approved CE course can count toward multiple eligible licenses.
For example, if you hold licenses such as:
...your required Sanitation and Human Trafficking hours don't need to be taken multiple times.
The number of CE hours you need is always based on your license history, not simply how many licenses you hold.
For example, if one license has been held for less than 15 years and another has been held for 15 years or more, you'll follow the requirement for the newer license until both licenses reach the 15 year mark.
We built My CE Space to make renewal as simple as possible for multi licensed professionals.
Instead of paying for duplicate courses or repeating the same required material, our courses are designed to satisfy overlapping TDLR requirements whenever the rules allow.
Whether you wear one hat or several behind the chair, renewing your license shouldn't be more complicated than it needs to be.
